LEAP: "There's a Pig in My Classroom"

Twice each year, IPPA sponsors "LEAP: There's the Pig in my Classroom" virtual field trip. 

Hosted by the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Event Center and sposored by the LEAP Foundation, There's a Pig in my classroom is a virtual program designed to teach students in grades 3-6 where and how pork gets on their plate. 

Students learn about how pigs are raised on the farm, production terminology, and purchasing pork in the grocery store.

The 2023 spring field trip took place on April 19th and reached over 390 students.  Stay tuned for more information on the Fall 2023 field trip.
