Pork Power Donation Program

Partnering to Fight Hunger in Illinois

Thanks to donations from pig farmers and support of various partners, Pork Power has provided more than 1 MILLION pounds of pork, amounting to more than 3.3 MILLION servings, to hungry Illinois residents since the program began in 2008. Food banks across Illinois work with our association to accept donations and distribute to families throughout the state.

Fulton County Farm Bureau, in partnership with the Illinois Pork Producers Association, gifted 800 pounds of pork to 7 local food pantries in the area. The dedication of farmers to their local communities does not go unnoticed. IPPA's "Pork Power" program assists with processing costs to further expand the reach of pork.

Thank you to our ongoing partners, the Illinois Corn Marketing Board and the Ilinois Soybean Association Checkoff Program, for their generosity!
