In early 2020, IPPA conducted a survey to gain a better understanding on how our industry could retain and recruit new employees. Based on those findings, IPPA is rolling out two new initiatives. The first is the Employee Betterment Initiative. This program will provide reimbursable funds to farm owners to invest back in their employees by offering resources such as, training opportunities, employee appreciation luncheons, breakroom improvements or on-farm attire needs.

IPPA values the hard work done by pig farmers and employees to provide nutritious protein to consumers. To highlight these dedicated employees, we have created the Employee Spotlight Program which will kick off in Pork Month (October 2020).
*To nominate your employee, please submit by the first of the month.
Each month we are inviting farm owners or employers to nominate their on-farm employees that go above and beyond to be featured in Chop Talk and our social media channels. Each employee chosen monthly will receive recognition and be entered to win the grand prize selected in October 2021.
