Thomas Titus
Livingston
Thomas Titus was raised on a grain and livestock farm in East Central Illinois prior to attending the University of Illinois and attaining a degree in Education and Animal Sciences. Seeking to continue his education within the agricultural industry sought out to partner with a company that focused upon employee development and provided key learning and career opportunities. Working for Cargill for nearly 6 years allowed Thomas to develop a greater business acumen while still being able to maintain his passion for the pork industry working for Cargill’s Pork Business Unit in Wichita, Kansas.
Today, this experience even proves more valuable as a grain and livestock farmer with his wife, Breann Conrady-Titus’, family in Elkhart Illinois. On Thomas’ multigenerational family farm he raises corn, soybeans and pigs, however most importantly he raises are his children on the farm, Reagan and Lakin. The opportunity to continue the legacy of the farm within the next generation is Thomas’ ultimate goal and reward. Thomas spends a great deal of time focusing on consumer outreach. As past Face of Farming and Ranching for the US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance, Thomas spends time sharing his farms stories using social media. Thomas is a graduate of NPPC’s Pork Leadership Institute while also participant in the NPPC Pork 2050 visioning group. Along with being on the NPB Producer Services committee, Thomas also remains focused upon IPPA initiatives as chairman of the Expo Committee and involvement in the Education and Youth and Marketing committees.
