Emmalee Haege

Emmalee Haege and her family own and operate a small row crop operation and Red Angus cow/calf herd in Washington County.  She is employed with The Maschhoffs as a Senior Production Manager in wean to market, overseeing spaces in Central Missouri to South Eastern Illinois. Emmalee is a 4th generation pig farmer that grew up on a small show pig/breeding stock operation in Carlyle Illinois, showing pigs at state and national shows. She was involved with livestock judging in 4-H and FFA and competed at the collegiate level. Emmalee and her husband Daniel, have two daughters Milly and Hannah. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, going to livestock shows, and trying new DIY projects.

 

Emmalee earned her associate’s degree from Lake Land College and her bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University where she majored in Agriculture Science. While attending college, she was an active member of the livestock judging team.

 

How do you believe the landscape of the industry has changed over the last five years? 

“The focus to show our product and how safe it is to the consumer has been a big push and an important one.”
