Ken Maschhoff


Ken is the fifth generation to be involved in the family business in Carlyle. He is currently the chairman of Maschhoff Family Foods Board. The Maschhoff’s LLC, one of two Maschhoff Family Foods business units, is the largest family-owned hog production company in North America. Each year they produce 4.8 million hogs with 550 independent production partners.

Ken served on the IPPA board for two terms in 1988 & 1989. He now serves on the board as a representative for the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), where he is the president-elect.

He is a graduate of the Illinois Ag Leadership Program. In 2005, he received the Service to Agriculture Award from the Southern Illinois University-Carbondale College of Agriculture.

He is also very involved in the community, serving on various boards including, Potter Electric, First Light USA, and Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School Board.

Ken and his wife, Julie, have four children and still live on the home farm.
