Dale Weitekamp, VP/Treasurer
Dale has been on the IPPA board for three years and has served on the State Fair, Production Tech/Research, and Industry Services committees. He is also a member of the Mid-Illinois Pork Producers.
He is part of a fifth generation centennial farming family. The farm currently has a wean-to-finish operation with 25,000 hogs.
Dale and his wife, Kim, have three children, Sarah, Sam, and Anne. They were awarded the IPPA Family of the Year in 2007. Dale is an EMT locally and involved in the Knights of Columbus.
Being a part of IPPA has helped Dale to see how the pork industry must interact with all sectors of the economy and society. If he could give advice to someone looking to get involved in the industry it would be to know what the time commitment really is.
