Keith is from Mercer County and this is his second term on the IPPA board. He is currently serving on the State Fair, Expo, and Education/Youth committees.
He comes from a multi-generational homestead farm that has been in the family for over a hundred years, making it a centennial farm.
Keith and his wife, Kris, have one daughter, Jessica. Keith is currently employed by Maschhoff’s managing their terminal nucleus sow herd. He enjoys helping the local 4-H program in his free time.
Being a part of IPPA has helped him make more contacts throughout the industry. Advice he would give to someone looking to expand into livestock would be to talk to other farmers who have put up buildings or talking to multiple prospective farmers if going into contract finishing.
