Dave is from Logan County and has been on the IPPA board for 13 years. He has served as the board secretary and also on the Expo, State Fair, and Marketing committees.
His third generation farm has an 11,000 market hog farrow-to-finish operation. The farm is also comprised of 1,700 acres of corn and soybeans, and a showpig operation that includes Chesters and Yorks.
Dave and his wife, Lisa, have two children, Brett and Breann. Brett is married to Janna and they have two sons, Ryder and Brantley. Breann is married to Thomas Titus and they have two daughters, Reagan and Lakin.
His family is very involved in the farm. The Conrady’s were recently awarded the 2016 IPPA Family of the Year. And in 1999, Dave won the Illinois Pork All-American award. Dave is also heavily involved in the community by supporting local schools, 4-H, and FFA groups.
Being a part of IPPA has helped Dave to stay up-to-date on the industry. If he could give advice to someone looking to expand into livestock he would explain that it is a good way to get in to farming.
